Terms of use
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms apply when you use Alertak, as a guest waiting for an order or as a venue that uses it at its counter. By using the service, you agree to them.
The service
Alertak alerts guests on their phones when their order is ready. It does not take orders or payments: your order, what is in it and how you pay stay between you and the venue.
Pilot phase
We are in a pilot phase. We provide the service as it is and as available, and it may change.
Alerts depend on phones, networks, settings and services run by others (such as Apple and Google), so an alert can be late or not arrive. Keep an eye on the counter too, especially if your notifications are off.
For guests
- The service is free for guests and needs no account.
- Use it only for your own order.
- Don't try to join other people's orders, guess order numbers, or disrupt the service (for example with automated requests).
For venues
- You are responsible for your orders, your products and your service to guests, and for giving guests the right order numbers.
- Keep staff logins private. You are responsible for what is done with your accounts; tell us at once if one may be misused.
- Use the service only for real orders at your own branch.
- Alerts are a help, not a guarantee: call the number out loud when the board asks you to.
- Fees and other details are agreed separately with each venue.
Fair use
We may limit or suspend access if the service is misused or put at risk, for example by too many requests.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by a late or missed alert, or by a venue's order or service.
iPhone apps
If you use our iPhone app or App Clip, Apple's standard licence terms for apps also apply.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
